Hundreds of miles of streams are damaged by misuse of site-specific historical facts, review by experienced professionals, logic, and common sense. Kids need a fishing license to play with tadpoles. Un-filed fishing reports can mean jail time. Using Clintonese by saying “likely to result” is analogous with “would”. It’s okay to hoard our country’s resources and maintain poor conditions in third world countries. If “no management”, locking up areas, and eliminating access means big-fires, this is okay. Let populated areas control rural areas. Average folks can’t avoid noticing many laws & regulations are applied in a selective and questionable manner. Focusing on Rural America, this book provides perspective on this problem as we work to “get by”. Having lived a lower to middle class working family life he has experienced what is happening in Rural America. The book shows how proper science and experienced, knowledgeable people have been replaced by untrained regulators, bent on compromise in the development and application of laws & regulations. This results in poorly written & inappropriately applied laws and regulations damaging to the environment, species, and people. Many will disagree with this book, but closer scrutiny will reveal their opinions are based on unverified second-hand speculation, unsupported in the real world. Politicians & media in control haven’t had the experience and are not able to handle many of the regulatory and environmental matters listed in the book. Without changes, many good things are going to disappear.
