Pergamentband der Zeit. Einzige Ausgabe. - "A significant work on optics, which though carefully read by Fabri's contemporaries, has been regarded with mixed feelings by historians of science. It was described as. one of Fabri's most important works by Poggendorff. Fabri is one of the more interesting characters in the annals of 17th century science" (Becker). They were placed with their curved surfaces together and touching one another. It had previously been referred to by H. Fabri in his 'Synopsis Optica' in 1667, who explained why the image was better, and spoke in high terms of Divini" (Clay & Court. History of the Microscope). - Stellenweise leicht fleckig bzw. stärker gebräunt. Rücken stark gebräunt. Teilweise restauriertes und neu aufgebundenes Exemplar.
