Mae has to spend a lot of her time with the squad, so Elizabeth and Chris become closer, and Ashley and her friends get angrier. The threats become heavier, and soon Elizabeth is defending herself in the lunchroom against Susan the Brute. Elizabeth goes through many challenges during her first year at Barksdale Middle School. Her adventures are sure to inspire any young girl who is faced with the same problems.
