The author, Tony Oswin, is an ex-pat from the UK, now living on the Greek island of Thassos. He realised the need for such a book on his numerous visits to the Greek islands, during which he always found it difficult acquiring information locally. The book is therefore aimed at helping the visitor save time and money, both prior to and during their visit and to get the most out of their stay on this dramatic and beautiful island.
