This volume's contributions discuss the reforms within the legal systems of these States undertaken with an aim to prepare for the reception of EC law in their domestic systems. Other contributions address some of the pending questions as to where the EC is headed, especially in the area of the protection of human rights. This volume marks the beginning of a new period in the 'History of International Law in the Baltic States'.
