Les Transformateurs Duchamp reconstruit Le Grand Verre et Etant donnes..., les deux oeuvres majeures de Duchamp exaltant le corps dans sa conceptualite topologique. Le livre introduit a la question de l'avenement et de l'evenement de l'art et invite en plus a considerer la dette que le commentaire philosophique doit au geste artistique. This volume republishes the two versions face-to-face, including the drawings, diagrams, and images of the original edition. Herman Parret presents the text in a substantial introduction, and Dalia Judovitz situates it in the more general framework of Lyotardian philosophical reflection. Duchamps TRANS/formers reconstructs the Large Glass and Given, Duchamps two majorworks that glorify the body in its topological conceptuality.
