This book explores how current neo-liberal policies and trends undermine postsecondary education as a potential site of democratic learning and revolutionary social change. It argues that concerned academics no longer have the luxury of intellectual isolation and political inaction, but must instead confront the present situation in manifest ways: openly challenging government meddling in university governance, attacking the massive underfunding of higher education, and removing the institutional control of the managerial class over universities. The authors examine post-neo-liberalism, review the current shift from ideological to repressive enforcement of its policies, discuss the impact police enforcement of the corporate state has on human rights and social justice, and consider ways to restore thick democracy through education and developing a revolutionary pedagogy. Emery Hyslop-margison, Maria Nikolakaki, Books, Reference and Language, Capitalist Crisis, Post-Neo-Liberalism, and Revolutionary Pedagogies Books>Reference and Language, Routledge<
